I'm looking forward to sharing tips, tricks and other goodies so that we may all have long and loving relationships with our little buddies.
My cat was diagnosed with CRF in August of 2007 and we were TERRIFIED. We had never done an injection and had very little medical experience. We didn't know where to get materials, it was all so overwhelming, scary and expensive. It took us a few months but now we're fairly comfortable with it and our cat is mostly stabilized (a few bumps in the road...). We get our fluids from Walgreens and it's 1/10th of the price that our Vet was charging. We've also found low cost needles, tubing and other materials online. Our cat refused the wet Hill's food so we made a different choice, she's getting good nutrition now. We've also found that the dry Hill's food is MUCH cheaper if you buy it at PetSmart (some PetSmart's sell it, some don't) and often...use a coupon. I guess that's all for now. If there is enough interest in this group, I'll organize a meeting. I would especially love to talk to people about how they handle vacations and other travel as that has been VERY problematic for us. |

I created a printable flyer so that we can get the word out about the CRF Meet Up Group. If you can, please print it out and tack it up at your Vets office or local pet food store...or wherever you think its appropriate. Thanks!!
